Sebastian (a lady)
Looking for info from the BTDT crowd. How selective can you be about sending AP results to various colleges. I was reading through the College Board FAQ and it seems that they will only report the highest score if you take a test multiple times (though that's not very likely, since they are only offered once a year). I also saw that you can have a score cancelled. Can you choose to send some scores to college #1 and a different set to college #2? If you have a student taking the test before 9th grade, do you have to pay for archived scores every time they are sent out, or is there a way to have a score permanently attached to the report (ie, an 8th grade score that goes out anytime you ask for scores to be sent)? Kareni
I can't address all of your questions; however, I will tell you what we did. We included AP test results on my daughter's transcript. We sent an official score report only to the college that my daughter now attends and that was after she accepted their offer. I imagine that you could tailor your child's transcript to include only the test results you wish to share. (Of course, some colleges do require the applicant to share all test results.) sdreeves
You have the option of waiting to see your scores, then paying an extra fee to have them sent to the college, however, there are now some colleges who require any and all test scores taken to be sent. Muttichen
I had 8th grader take APs and I didn't pay anything extra to have those scores included. The score report includes all of the scores automatically. I think the thing about archived scores is for people sending them out four years after they took their last test.
