Kathleen in VA
This article was on my local news website today. http://www.wtop.com/?nid=41&sid=2679510 If you click on the email it sends a virus that gathers data from your computer. I'm pretty sure this is for real since it made it to the front page of a very popular news source here in the D.C. area.
choirfarm
Oh yeah. We got these ALL the time for awhile. I never clicked on the link. I haven't gotten them lately.
Kathleen in VA
Oh yeah. We got these ALL the time for awhile. I never clicked on the link. I haven't gotten them lately. Come to think of it, I remember receiving these kinds of emails too. I think they are making a point of spreading the word right now because so many of us are tracking packages for Christmas and might be more prone to click on the email without thinking it through. 2cents
I got that one but never clicked the link because postal service is so bad in our area I would never expect them to actually be organized enough to send an email about an attempted delivery. Guess that awful postal service can come in handy.
Cinder
I got a couple of those emails to my spam box. I knew they were fake because I've never given the usps my email. Oh, and what made me certain it was fake was the link was to a zip file. Really? The usps would sent a notice in a zip file? No.
stripe
It's on the USPS Website at the top that it's a scam. https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/radDocs/consumer/SpamAlert.pdf I've also gotten "traffic tickets" by email. Snort.
