Heather in Neverland
Which one should I read first? ETA: ok, I swear I typed Flavia but that stupid auto correct on my iPad changed it and I didn't notice. Grrrrrr....
Teacher Mom
I always like to start a series with the first novel. That way I get to watch the character grow. Enjoy the books; it is one of my favorite series.

Heather in Neverland
One more question... Is this an appropriate book for a 13yo?
In The Great White North
One more question... Is this an appropriate book for a 13yo? I don't remember any issues with it.
pooh bear
My 11 yo boy has read the first three. He enjoyed them, and I don't remember anything that would cause a problem.
Mothersweets
One more question... Is this an appropriate book for a 13yo? It does deal with the death of a child but nothing graphic or detailed.
Teacher Mom
I let my 13 year old read all but A Red Herring Without Mustard. The whole bludgeoned thing would have been too much for my dd but each child is different.
All4one
I think the material is appropriate but there's so many great literary references in it. I think to truly appreciate what a great writer Bradley is you would need to be a very well read 13 year old.
TheHomeScientist
This is an excellent series for both kids and adults. After my wife and I read the first book in the series, I emailed the author to say how much I'd enjoyed it, not least because what Flavia did in her lab in the early 1950's reminded me of what I'd done in my own lab in the early 1960's. We now keep up a sporadic correspondence about ideas for new books, technical questions about home chemistry labs, and so on.
