Is this site legit?

Link here.

Igot an email from them that is either great news or (more likely--I'm 90% cynic & 9% skeptic, lol) a phishing scam. I've googled, though, & haven't found the obvious stuff I usually find.

:bigear:

Could you post the link in its entirety? :tongue_smilie:

 I just clicked on it, & it's working for me. Do you mean something else?

Yeah .

I don't want to click on a suspicious site without at least seeing the url. :001_huh:

to see the url without clicking on it, you can hover your mouse over the link and look at the bottom of your screen

then you can put that url into search engine and find out links such as...

all I can find is the same question being asked

http://www.foodbloggersofcanada.com/forums/topic/blog-services-inc/

http://www.dnforum.com/f77/blog-services-inc-thread-468903.html

and this site seems to be in the 100% against it crowd

Oh. I see! I'm sorry--that's how I've always seen other people do it, so I thought it was just more convenient for people that way. Duh, though--of course you don't want to click on mystery link if I'm worried about it being legit!

I'm fixing it in the OP. :001_smile:

It is a marketing ploy -- not specifically a scam, but definitely not above board. This was being discussed at length on a private writer's forum I frequent. There are others out there using similar tactics to implant marketing onto blogs. They all ask for the same link-privilege.
