happycc
What are you using for FLL4? For 5th or 6th grade?
Jen+4dc
We jumped right into Growing With Grammar level 6 and he's doing great! I would love to use ALL, but I think he'll be done with formal grammar instruction by the time it's ready.:(
ThriceBlessed
I wanted to use VIE... but could not stomach the cost for 3 kids. We have gone with R&S after ditching Shirley. We *loved* FLL, I really wish all the levels were currently done. Maybe for my (current) K student.:D
MyLittleWonders
Other ... I don't know yet. :( I'm leaning Hake, but only because VIE is expensive. But if dh gives me the go-ahead on VIE, I'll probably do that. (I'm thinking if we do exercises on paper, I can reuse the books for each kid.) MyLittleWonders
So thinking more about this, I think I might do Exercises in English plus a book on diagramming, and a 1962 copy of Voyages in English. But I still don't know.
Guest
Growing with Grammar. It was the closest thing to secular R&S I have found. Nice clean pages, straightforward explanations.
Tammy (TX)
Growing with Grammar! We just started it, but like it so far.
julikins
I don't know! Still researching!
RootAnn
I'm only going to have time for grammar 2-3x per week next year (alternating with spelling). I'm still debating if I should do ALL (where the 15 week sample will get me nearly through the whole school year at the reduced pace) or KISS. :willy_nilly: I thought I was decided on ALL, but KISS looks like it would match up well with CW Homer in terms of concepts.
