Melinda S in TX
Up to this point, we have had a literature/history focus in our homeschooling. We are going to make science and math our main focus now. We have used TOG and have loved it, but it's just too much for something that is not our main focus. What are my options? I need something for my 10th grader.
TXMary2
I will assume since you used TOG that you don't mind a Christian publisher. There are always textbook options like Abeka, BJU and Notgrass. Those would be the swiftist way to get through history, if you are turning your attention to science and math. mom31257
What history year or credit did you give for 9th grade?
Chris in VA
For the first 3 years of World History, I really like Spielvogel. I don't think it's as strong for Moderns, but I was using the 5th ed, so that could easily have changed. Just maybe reading the text, picking 5 or 6 lit works to go with it (not 9-15), and maybe adding in some films for fun--this, along with a few short papers and maybe a couple long ones, ought to be enough for a full credit with just 120 hours (bare minimum). If it's been very strong up to now, you can just go deep in a few areas of interest (WTM details this).
