Jane Elliot
What do you use for your Advent readings? We're looking for some fresh ideas. We've always used a devotional book that was given to us when we first married, but we've never thought it was fabulous. We also read the Scriptures, of course, but we'd like to replace the devotional book. We have a wide range of ages, so we're open to looking at anything. Tutor
We read through one of the Jotham trilogy books. They are historical fiction surrounding the birth of Christ, not devotionals, though.
ilovemy6kids
We use a Jesse Tree Devotional that is free at AHolyExperience.com. We are making ornaments out of the pictures in the back of the book so my littles will be able to look at the pics and retell the stories. We read our first one several years ago when I found it for 50 cents at a thrift shop. This was back when they were out-of-print and selling for $50 on ebay. God's Christmas gift to me that year.:D
Chris in VA
We don't do devotions with our wreath. We just light it at dinner each night, and remember what each candle stands for. Not that that's helpful or anything. :D

Violet Crown
We bless the wreath the first night, and from then on we pray the Collect from the appropriate Sunday of Advent and sing the antiphon of the Rorate Caeli, each in our own key. :D During the Golden Nights we throw in the appropriate verse from Veni Veni Emmanuel and pray the Christmas Novena.
