DawnM
or partial memberships? Several people have been telling me that their health insurance covers a portion or all of their gym memberships. Does yours? We have Aetna. There is ONE gym that they subsidize, but only about $5 per month, the other $35 per month is on us. Not to mention that the gym is 14 miles each way to get to. GoVanGogh
Ours does not. DH used to work for a major corporation that had an awesome gym for employees and their families. Membership was insanely cheap. He hasn't worked for that company in 15 years and I still miss their gym. I have never found a private gym that compared. Murmer
ours will repay up to 150 dollars a year for a gym membership....not a lot when the memberships are 1000+ per year.
gingersmom
Not a chance. They had some promotion with a local Y that you could get 1 month free as a trial membership.
DawnM
We don't have a lot of close by gyms. There is one 4 miles away. No child care and it is very pricey I think. We used to have a Curves but they closed down. The other gyms are all at least 10 miles away. It may not seem bad, but when your car gets 17 miles per gallon, it costs almost $4 just to get to the gym and back and there are only so many errands I need to run per week.
