kolamum
I asked ages ago about Low Carb and ended up settling on the South Beach diet because it best fit my lifestyle. I did a small trial run with it, and plan to start full force with phase 1 at the start of December. I'll find Thanksgiving a bigger hurdle then Christmas, so I'm eager to start asap with phase 1. I thought I'd see if anyone else out there was doing it for a little moral support.

I actually ordered the book (it's coming tomorrow) and I think I'm going to give it a try after Thanksgiving!
kolamum
The toughest part for me is going to be phase 1 because it's the most restrictive but it only lasts two weeks so that's cool. :D
FrogMom5
I did it 2 yrs. ago for 4 weeks, no exercise. I lost 15 lbs. and have kept it off. In Jan., I plan to start it again but w/walking this time. It's a good diet and phase I isn't as bad as most diets. I hope I can stick w/it this time. NanceXToo
Yeah, I figure at least it's only temporary so how bad can it be, right? We'll see. My book actually ended up coming a day early (arrived today) and I've started reading it already. Maybe I'll start the day after Thanksgiving. livingnlearning
It's a pretty easy one to follow after the first couple weeks-it's just sensible! lowcarbfriends.com has a board for it and the ladies on there are PROS. They make cakes out of beans!
NanceXToo
Now that's just weird LOL
Moxie
Just remember, it is a lifestyle, not a diet. Yeah, the first two weeks are hard but once you break the carb addiction, saying no is much easier. I lost 20 pounds and have had no trouble keeping it off. Well, until a few months ago but these pounds will be gone in April!
kolamum
 We make brownies out of black beans so cakes don't surprise me too much. ;)
NanceXToo
Melissa, glad to hear you have had no trouble with it! Kolamum, well, you learn something new every day lol. Well, I'm kinda nervous but glad to have something different to try- I have nothing bad to say about Weight Watchets but I AM over "counting points" and such for now.
