Tiramisu
I just found out I have a dust mite allergy. I've been looking at mattress covers and I'm so confused. I need something reasonably priced, but it has to breathe--so nothing plastic. Any suggestions?
LaxMom
They have some sort of non-woven ones (like tyvek envelopes but obviously more bedding feeling) at Bed Bath & Beyond. I don't recall them being particularly spendy.
Beth in OH
The encasings at National Allergy Supply are excellent, and they come in a range of prices. I've always found their descriptions to be accurate. http://www.natlallergy.com/cat/2/bedcare-mattress-covers-mite-proof-encasings-bed-bug-covers.html
Chris in VA
A friend with lots of dust mite allergic kiddos told me to be sure to duct tape the zipper--completely cover it, because the mites can escape thru it. Don't know if that's true or not, but...there it is. :001_smile:
