Meriwether Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 I've always used other things along with Phonics Museum - just because I'm like that. I think the PM covers everything. Whether or not you need anything else depends on the kids. I like Turbo Reader for the word lists. I've also used Pathway Readers and HOP for extra practice, because my kids like them. Ds5 is over halfway through the K material now and seems to be internalizing the rules for the sight words. I think we'll start 1st soon after Christmas and see how that goes. AFwife Claire Posted November 7, 2011 Share Posted November 7, 2011 I used PM with my 4 boys, and I never used anything else. They were fine! I did not do the spelling, though. I think she could go into first but want to make sure we cover the CH, SH, etc. Once we start 1st we'll go slower and just do one a day.
