HTML5 book recommendations

Recommended Posts

I have spent a few weeks poring over books at our libraries reading books on (X)HTML and deciding which was the best choice for a beginner, and I finally ordered the book we are using for dd's web design course this year. Believe it or not, HTML, XHTML, and CSS for Dummies was the most clear and comprehensive beginning book I could find.

For Java, we use Head Start Java, and I highly recommend it. It helped me get through my first Java Programming college class last year when the dry Java textbook failed me at times.
