Guest
When I email a PDF, it is now opening in Google Docs vs. Adobe. Does anyone know how I can change this so that when I email out a PDf everyone opens it in Adobe not Google Docs?
5of5
Are you sure that this happens to others, or just to you? IME, this would be specific to one's computer.
Guest
I actually don't know that. I just know that someone couldn't open a PDF I just sent and when I started looking at it, I realized mine were now opening in Google Docs and made an assumption.... 5of5
Take a look at this, it might help you: http://www.ehow.com/how_5511202_make-adobe-reader-default.html
LaxMom
If I'm in gmail in Chrome, and I hit "view" it opens in Google Docs. If I download it, or I'm in IE (at work), it opens in the native Acrobat Reader or a different tab in IE with its plugin. I sort of like having things open in Docs. Then I can access them from my iPhone.
5of5
Yes - if you are using gmail, then this might be the default behavior. You may need to download the file to your hard drive first (to get it to open wth Adobe).
Beth in OH
I have an Adobe incompatibility with my email server ( not gmail, yahoo, etc.), and I couldn't open pdf's. Only chiming in to say it might have nothing to do with Google docs.
Guest
hmmm...thanks for all the input; I'm anxious to see if the other people I sent this out to can open it.
