We live in a college town so it is not uncommon to find college level textbooks at thrifts stores. For .89 for a hardback book, I usually buy them. I have found a few almost new ones. Most are math or science. I don't feel qualified to judge whether these are good texts or not. I usually check amazon reviews and google, but that is hit or miss.
