Michelle in AL
We are thinking about taking a vacation to Colorado this Christmas. We want to go snowmobiling, snow tubing, sleigh riding and dog sledding. We don't need to ski. A couple yrs ago someone posted about a small town with all of the above that was about an hr from a major city. It was less expensive than the others. I've lost the link and have no idea what town it was. Any ideas?

Ailaena
Was it Gunnison, maybe? Estes Park?
dhudson
I would look at Estes Park or Winter Park. If you are looking for less expensive, try lodging at the YMCA. You can stay at Snow Mountain Ranch in Winter Park or in Estes Park. NicAnn
I would consider Estes Park. You can go into Rocky Mountain National Park and play at the Hidden Valley Snow Play Area. It's the one area in the park specifically made for snow play. You can do sleds and tubing. If you aren't skiing, then the Frisco/Breckenridge area isn't that bad...especially if you could rent a condo.
