gaillardia
Anyone? Looks fairly easy to homeschool there and wondered how those of you who do live in Indiana feel about the homeschool climate there.:001_smile:
nevergiveup
I believe homeschoolers are considered private schools. The state cannot dictate what or when you teach. I took my kids out of public school 4 years ago and had to fill out some forms at the local school but I don't remember what they did with them. You are supposed to keep track of attendance--got to get those 180 days in, although I don't know of anyone who has been asked to produce any proof. foxbridgeacademy
My sister and aunt both HS in Indiana and all you need to do is send a letter to local school that you're going to HS (so they don't mark child truant) and fill out online form. I know that the Bloomington area is Pro HS, other then that not real sure how the climate is now (been away long time).
