mama2cntrykids
We just spent two nights in Custer, SD with four kids. We were able to get a room with two double and one queen sized beds. It was reasonable at around $100/night.

unsinkable
I think people need to be honest about how many are in the hotel room. If you call the front desk and they are OK with however many occupants are in the room, then fine. I don't think it is OK to not be honest about it. This topic reminds me taking outside food into a movie theatre. Some theatres are fine with it. Others aren't.

JaniceO
Last summer we travelled across the country and we never stayed in 2 rooms. All of the hotels we stayed in (mostly suite type hotels) could accomodate the 6 of us in one room for well under $200. Usually for less than $100 a night.
