4ofus
is a story I remember loving as a child. It was just so...vivid to me at the time that it stuck. Last week at the library I saw it & in a fit of nostalgia checked it out. FF to tonight. The boys haven't picked it up to read, so I decided I would read it as a bedtime story. (We all still love bedtime stories!) Ummm...big mistake? It was just as vivid as I remember & my 7 yr old was downright SCARED! **sigh** I am certain he will not sleep a wink tonight & if he does, it will be with visions of murderous scheming cobras in his head. I guess I know now why that story stuck with me all these years~it is intense for the young crowd! Probably best enjoyed IN DAYLIGHT.:tongue_smilie:
4wildberrys
Yes! It is a great story---but I think I remember being a little freaked by it too as a little kid. I had an immense imagination!
MariannNOVA
My dd32's FAVORITE story - I think she heard it first when she was 6 or 7.

annlaura
Poor little guy. :grouphug: Both DH and I also had vivid memories of it, and now DS4.5 loves it. Tried to convince us to get him a pet mongoose. ;)
