misidawnrn Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 Last week one of my chickens was singing the egg song and now they have been squatting in submission to me (although they haven't figured out that I am not a rooster) and today DD-7 checked for eggs, as she does daily, religiously, and lo and behold there was a perfectly shaped brown egg in there today! Rjmakmom Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 We have only been getting eggs for a few weeks, and are still waiting for all of our hens to start laying. My girls grab the egg basket and still run to the coop 3-4 times a day checking for eggs. Eventually I am sure it will get old for them, but for now, they are having a blast.
