Good snacks for in the car?

If you read my other thread, you know we are now a single car family. So we will be spending more time on the road taking dh to the Metro and who knows what else. Most days I will probably get ds up from his nap, put shoes on him and stick him in a car seat. He will want a snack. I really would like to not trash this vehicle like the last one (wrappers, crumbs, etc. everywhere!).

 

So what would be good to bring ds for a snack that won't leave so many crumbs I can skip buying food next month and live off them?:confused: (or nasty sticky or stinky-ness?)

I tend to give the dc dry cereal, dried fruit, or pretzels in ziploc bags when we have to eat in the car.

you can do veggies and dip, nuts, dried fruit, wraps instead of sandwiches, peanut butter crackers etc. My kids still drop bits everywhere though :)
