Impish
SpecialMama bought me a gluten free cookbook. I've had all the essential ingredients for a week now  but for one reason or another (weather too dang hot, feeling like crud) I haven't tried any of them yet. So, I'm determined to try today. What do I start with? Multigrain bread, or something a little more treatlike, such as chocolate chocolate chip muffins? I have to admit, I'm gun shy. I've tried so many disgusting gluten free products that I'm dreading finding out that these recipes aren't any better. I mean, I hope and plan for them to be, but at the same time...if there were better recipes out there, why are they selling the drywall that's supposed to be bread/bagels/waffles in the store? celticmom
If you don't like the recipes it will be much easier to play with them until you do. Also think about the difference between fresh homemade bread and the plastic wrapped sponges they sell at the store.:D
unsinkable
How sweet of her! If it was my book, I would start with something I am craving.
celticmom
You might consider starting with something less familiar so you have fewer preconceived notions about exactly how it is supposed to taste.
