Mrs_JWM Posted July 17, 2011 Share Posted July 17, 2011 We'll be visiting Richmond in September just before we go to Williamsburg, and I saw online that people like to swim and tube on the James River. Many sites mentioned putting in at Pony Pastures or just hanging out and swimming there. Have any of you done this? I love tubing, wading, and swimming in rivers and streams, so I'm familiar with that at places I know, but can anyone tell me moee about it in Richmond, or PM me with tips for other good, less-crowded spots to put in or hang out? And, now that I'm helping this thread, you'll have to share the secret spot...:lol: If you're visiting NC at all, we went tubing on the outskirts of Bryson City, NC. It was so much fun! Recommend!
