My kindle has been acting quirky for months and each day it brings new surprises. :glare: I was in Barnes & Noble today and checked out the Nook color. It is really nice! The screen seemed a tiny bit smaller than my kindle but it looked really bright and I liked the way the pages changed better. Good thing my birthday is in a few months! I'd be concerned about it being too much like a computer screen (with the eye strain) rather than like a book (which is the main thing I love the idea about for these!). The Nook Color does not have the e-ink screen. I have never used one with e-ink so I cannot compare. But with my Nook Color I am able to turn the brightness down and change the background color which seems to work for me. My eyes do get tired, but they get tired when I read a regular book too.
