Hot Lava Mama
We are reading Harry Potter, book number one. In chapter 12, Harry sees a mirror that has "Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi" on it. I noticed they use some latin influenced words, and I was wondering if this is latin. What does it say or mean? Thanks Hot Lava Mama

I show not your face but your heart's desire
Jennifer
It reads: I show not your face but your heart's desire (written backwards) Jennifer
LittleIzumi
The backward nature of the script is shown in the name of the mirror--The Mirror of Erised (which is Desire backwards).
