Koerarmoca
I am wondering if you use AAS and keep all the magnets on your board on the wall. what size board do you have? that allows you to have plenty of functional space to work in and do other things? I have a HUGE blackboard already so i don't want a huge white board too.
SnMomof7
Are you starting with level 1? When we did level 1 I just used a cookie tray to start with. Now I have a 2'x3' white board, we are 1/3 of the way through level 2 and it is working just fine. I think it will be big enough :).
MerryAtHope
AAS recommends a 2' X 3' White board to fit the layout of the tiles and have room to work. Some people adapt though--one adaptation I've heard of is to use nesting cookie trays--one for magnet storage, one for workspace.
Satori
Here's our 2'x3' board at level 4 if you wanted to see what it looks like with tiles. It's our dedicated AAS board and it sits on the ground.
black_midori
Ours is a 2X3 also, I believe, and I screwed it to the wall right above the window by our HS table. Works great - a little difficult to write on (I have to stretch a bit or stand up to get to the middle), but I love that it is always RIGHT THERE and not walking around the house (as many of my "leave this here" things end up!). Ellen in PA
We also have the 2X3 magnetic white board. Purchase in Target for little under $20.
boscopup
2x3, and it hangs out behind a dresser. We pull it out when we need it. I don't have wall space for it, except in the master bedroom, and I haven't yet given in to turning my bedroom into a partial schoolroom. MerryAtHope
I don't have wall space either--or didn't until I decided to reorient everything vertically--that way it fits on a closet door that's in our school area!
Koerarmoca
oh I def. need it on the wall. my 2 year old will seek and destroy it even if I hide it  wall space isn't an issue I just want something big enough to play on but not as over powering as my chalk board. taffnus
We have a 2x3 as well and I'm so glad. I slide it between my computer desk and file cabinet when not in use and then pull it out for lessons. It's very convenient having it all there and ready.
