Michelle T
I'm wondering if the Science Explorer bind-ups for life science, earth science, and physical science contain the five individual books for each subject exactly as they are, or if they are changed or abbreviated in some way. Has anyone here seen both versions to compare? Thanks! Michelle T
Rhondabee
Yes, they do have the same info. We have all the bind-up books, and a few of the individual books. I really like the individual books better, just because they're easier to hold. But, the bind-ups were cheaper. hth, Rhonda
Carol in Cal.
They don't seem to be on the Prentice Hall website.
AngieW in Texas
The Prentice Hall website is horrible. It's much easier to use their paper catalog and phone in your order. There are two different options for bindups. You can get separate books for each strand of science - life, earth, physical: http://phcatalog.pearson.com/program_multiple.cfm?site_id=6&discipline_id=808&subarea_id=5383&program_id=22001 Or you can get books that are a mix from each strand: http://phcatalog.pearson.com/program_multiple.cfm?site_id=6&discipline_id=808&subarea_id=5383&program_id=13121 I have the 2000 edition of the individual student texts. The 2002 workbooks have matched up page-for-page with the 2000 edition so far. link to individual books: http://phcatalog.pearson.com/program_multiple.cfm?site_id=6&discipline_id=808&subarea_id=5383&program_id=21981 Just as a warning, the answer key for the workbooks is only in the $$$$$ all-in-one teacher resources kit. I just check the answers myself, but science is my thing, so that isn't a problem for me.
Rhondabee
They don't seem to be on the Prentice Hall website. I paid less than $15 for each book - and sometimes MUCH less. Sometimes you can even find the Teacher's Editions. Of course, I was using the 2001 editions (which is what our ps is currently using): Life Science: http://www.amazon.com/Science-Explorer-Michael-J-Padilla/dp/0130506214/ref=sr_1_24?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210776855&sr=8-24 Life Sci. Study Guide: http://www.amazon.com/Reading-Workbook-Prentice-Science-Explorer/dp/0130440000/ref=pd_sim_b_title_2 Life Sci. TE: http://www.amazon.com/Life-Science-Teachers-Explorer/dp/0130434337/ref=sr_1_29?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210776855&sr=8-29 To find the others, just search "Science Explorer Earth" and "Science Explorer Physical". hth, Rhonda
