MindyD
I decided to use WWE2 this year for my ds in 3rd grade basically because of I felt he was a little behind in writing. He's done fine, and it's been very easy. In fact, looking back, I probably could have started with 3, but I didn't want him to get frustrated. With that said, can I skip to WWE4 for next year or do I really need to just stay the course and move on to 3? I'd like to ramp things up a bit next year since 4th grade just seems like a benchmark in my mind, but I know that's a completely subjective standard I've got going on in my head. Anyway...those of you who have used WWE, what do you think? Mindy
JadeOrchidSong
http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125718 Here is the thread that addresses the same question you have. :001_smile: My son is 8 yrs 5 mos old and he is doing WWE 2. We will start WWE 3 in a few months. I wouldn't skip a level because WWE 3 is much harder than WWE 2. Edited April 25, 2011 by aomom

robsiew
I would not suggest that. There is a big "ramp up" between level 2 and level 3. My ds is about 2/3 of the way through level 4 and he's dictating paragraphs at this point. They aren't easy words either! He's hanging in there, but it's difficult! Capt_Uhura
You can give him/her the end of year assessment for year 3 and see if DC passes. http://wtm-pdfs.s3.amazonaws.com/wwe/wweevaluations.pdf
