Rose in BC
I'm getting something shipped from the USA to Canada. Anyone with experience chime in with a recommendation? (The cost is $5 difference wiht USPS saying they'll deliver faster.)
TheTwinsMom1
USPS for sure. UPS can impose extra fees for taking the item over the boarder which the person you are sending the items to has to pay. They are brokerage fees and these are in addition to the duties they already have to pay on it.
lionfamily1999
UPS. The post office says a lot of things. UPS tracks.
TheTwinsMom1
UPS only tracks to the Canada border, I believe. Their brokerage fees are very high, sometimes like 60$ in addition to the duties they already have to pay to get items into the country. UPS is horrible for international packages due to these fees. Rene Austen
USPS! A better price and good service My husband is a letter carrier :001_smile:. (He would also look good in a kilt. . . .)
Tammyla
Insurance is a must for me, either way.

I was reading about the letter carrier who wanted a kilt added to the list of approved uniform choices. (he lost).

The kilt thread turned my thoughts to UPS... but our postal carrier doesn't come to our house and the UPS man does ;)

And my husband was muttering, "I dunno--I'd wear it. Less chafing. . ."
Shifra
I would not use UPS. They have lost more packages of mine than I wish to remember! USPS is usually cheaper and more reliable (after all, they deliver to every address everyday ). But I can't speak for Canada, but like I said, I have had UPS lose so many packages, even here in the USA!
