Sandra in FL
Start off with the Ramona books and then do the rest of the Cleary books. My boys especially loved the Dahl books (my favorite is Matilda). My youngest is now reading The Hardy Boys (the older 2 never read HB or Nancy Drew - they did Series of Unfortunate Events and Chronicles of Narnia next). m0mmaBuck
Have you tried the Stepping Stones Classics series? DS didn't like MTH and wasn't much on the other Stepping Stones books, but he enjoyed their versions of Robin Hood, King Arthur, The Three Musketeers, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and so on.
