joannqn
An insert in my credit union said members are e legible for discounted rates and that average credit union member savings is $329.07 per year. So after calling them and going through all of their questions, they quote me $127.xx per month for auto insurance only. We pay $103 per month for auto and renters insurance combined. The renters insurance is approximately $10 of that. I've never found anyone who can beat that rate, so why do I keep calling? Does anyone pay less than this for two cars, one of them still financed? Who is your carrier?
BarbecueMom
Ours is about the same, minus the renters insurance (but that was close to what we had when we lived in an apartment). Same scenario, two cars, one financed. We have USAA. My brother is 19, has a 1996 or so Jeep, no financing. He pays $127 a month. Ouch. The joys of teen driving. Lainey
We call around and get quotes every once in awhile just to see if something better is out there.
Princess Peach
Make sure you are getting every discount available. We get a huge discount because DH is a teacher and is considered a city employee.
