Job went through a lot, so no, I cannot compare my life to his. However, I have felt like the earth was going to crash in on me I was so burdened. That feeling comes at me less and less as I grow in my walk with Christ. When I am going through rough times, I can remember the promises from God and that God doesn't bring the hardships onto us. In Isaiah 61, He promises beauty from ashes. Psalm 103 is a wonderful promises. Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 41:10 are both good, as well as Psalm 91. I never truly had a good understanding of God until about three years ago when I started truly seeking Him with my whole heart wanting more than just a one day a week relationship. The more I sought Him out, the more He revealed Himself to me. I read the bible and asked Him to give me understanding. He says if you ask, seek, and knock the door will be opened. I started asking and He flooded me with understanding in my heart, not only head knowledge, but a deep heart knowledge. My whole life has changed for the better and I have such joy and peace even in the most difficult situations now. If you want some resources with good teachings, Google Duane Sheriff Ministries. Whenever I google something, and then click on the website I am wanting, a different site comes up. It's usually another search engine or an ad or something. I can type an address into the address bar and it works fine. I can also click websites on my favorites and they work fine. I switched to bing and I can use that successfully by searching, but google no longer works for me. How can I fix this? Adding: This is a laptop and it seems like the fan is running a lot, it gets hot, and it is much slower than normal.

I just read this in the TT FAQ's.... Is it best to take Geometry or Algebra 2 after Algebra 1? A. Well, opinions on this differ. One risk of taking Geometry in between the two algebras is that the student might forget a lot of the Algebra 1 he learned during the year he spends on geometry. Also, if a student has done well with Algebra 1, why break the positive momentum? On the other hand, since the PSAT has geometry on it, students who take Algebra 1 in the 9th grade may want to take Geometry in the 10th if they plan to take the PSAT in the 11th grade. You should know, however, that the purpose of the PSAT is to provide a warm-up to the SAT and to identify potential National Merit Finalists. Since there are other ways to prepare for the SAT (such as checking out a library book that contains several practice SATs), and since very few students ever become National Merit Finalists (about 2 or 3 in each large high school), the argument for taking Geometry before Algebra 2 is not overwhelming.

We are just finishing up Algebra 1 in 8th grade. We are using Teaching Textbooks. I'm debating whether to go right into Algebra 2 or start Geometry for 9th grade. I don't want him to lose his momentum in Algebra, but it seems to be the norm for sticking Geometry in between Algebra 1 and 2.

Since there are only three of us, we eat at the kitchen counter. I have a full bar around the counter with stools, so it's easier to just eat there than at the table. This is the only house that we've had a bar like this, so at our other houses, we ate at the table.

My insurance company sent out letters with new cards a few years ago with member numbers instead of ss numbers because of an increase in fraud. They said in the letter that by law it was not required anymore. I never give ss numbers out, just give them the card with the member number. The ins.co. has our ss numbers on file.

I do if it makes me uncomfortable to say out loud.

Bible is I have it on my iPod and it reads A certain amount each day and stops and asks you if you want to continue to the next days reading. I Sometimes fall asleep listening to it and the iPod just powers itself down. I like it because I don't have to manually turn it off.

I just finished our 10th year homeschooling. I started homeschooling Pre-K and I definitely count it because I used a curriculum and we sat down and did school at the kitchen table. I had high expectations back then, but it was a fun year, and I still have fond memories of that year and love looking back at the portfolio. Well, I like looking back at all of our portfolio's. :)

It takes 1/2 hr to get anywhere, so we are feeling it, too. Dh works 45 min from home and I don't go out unless I have to.

We got one recently and the coconut milk was very sweet and the coconut meat was really tasty, too. I think some of them are just duds.
