needmoregrace
Does anyone do the Keepers at Home with their daughters? ~needmoregrace
Sophia
I did with my 15 y.o. when she was 8. We did it for a couple years with a group of friends and she loved it. So funny you brought it up because I was just thinking I should do it with my now 8 y.o. Hmmm...I'll take it as a sign I should put some feelers out with her little friends and their moms ;)
Dianne-TX
We did this with a group from '09-'10, but after having baby #3 in April of '10 we cut our schedule down. Our plan is to do it as mom and daughter. I will pick some projects from the book and then let her pick from my list. Once she completes a section, I'll order the pin for her. She actually has a sash from her group with her pins from that year, so we'll just add to that. I also typed out a list of memory verses to work on and a Bible reading plan. I just followed the book and what they listed. If I can be really good and consistent, I would like to keep a binder with all her lists in it and project papers and pictures, etc. Kind of like a scrapbook. I thought she would be disappointed to not be a part of the group again, but she actually said, "Oh, good, Mommy, I was wanting to do it with you!" :) Made me feel MUCH better. :) My husband and ds10 are going to do the Contenders for the Faith which is the boys version. We'll do it the same way as above. I just don't know what we'll use to put his pins on, but it won't be a sash. :)
happypamama
Our co-op does the Keepers program. I think it makes for a nice homemaking program as well. The pins get expensive quickly though. Our co-op talked about sashes for the girls and haversacks for the boys.
