Love2Smile
We have used Wordly Wise for 3 years and want a change. What do you like best for 8th grade thru highschool? Thanks
rootsnwings
Our Latin program has made me decide to completely drop English Vocab!!! We discuss words/meanings/derivatives so often that an actual vocabulary program is seriously redundant! We were using Sadlier-Oxford Vocabulary Workshop until this semseter when we started Cambridge Latin. HTH! :)
MamaT
For middle school I have used Caesar's English from MCT for the last couple of years (it wasn't around with my olders). I have always used Vocabulary from Classical Roots for high school and will probably continue to use VfCR with my youngers instead of continuing with the MCT materials. mcconnellboys
I used Vocab from Classical Roots with my older son and I'm using Vocab for the College Bound with my younger son right now....
Kareni
I'll confess that we did not use a formal vocabulary program at home. I do recall that my daughter used Vocabulary Cartoons in one out of the home writing class. My daughter has always read voraciously and she studied Latin for five years. Her vocabulary is excellent. Regards, Kareni
charlotteb
We have used English from the Roots Up and plan to continue thru high school. My son scored post high school level on the vocabulary section on his standardized test, so I would say it's definately working!
