mo2
It is too cold to send my kids outside for their exercise. What are some things we can do indoors for exercise/PE?
HollyDay
We've been thinking about this too. Some ideas so far are: jumping rope, sit ups, push ups, stretches, jump jacks, pilates, various dvds. A lady just told me today they have been getting different dance workout dvds from the library and doing those. She said even the toddlers were enjoying the music and motion. Basic weight training is always good if your dc are of the age to benefit from that. Classic barre work is great for core strength and flexibility - just use a chair or back of a couch. If you are worried about credits, you could always do a report. I remember when I was in high school and could not take PE my 10th grade year for health reasons, I had to write a detailed report on tennis to get my credit.
