snickelfritz
We're visiting for our bowl game (Go Pokes!) We have one extra day with nothing planned. We checked on Sea World and $$$$$$$$. Yowzers. We considered the zoo. Our local zoo membership gets us half off. But we go to our local zoo all of the time.
East Coast Sue
I've been to Sea World in San Antonio for homeschool day at the park and it was barely worth the $7 per person we paid. I would recommend the zoo, river walk, or Landa park. The weather is usually so warm and sunny that playgrounds, picnics, and playing outside is entertaining. There are several nice playgrounds with walking & biking trails in San Antonio. Enjoy!
Dinsfamily
We think so but usually buy season passes so each visit is cheaper. My dc love the animals and the shows so it's a good outing for us.
Mommyof4ks
The River Walk is nice if you want to skip paying for Sea World, and the Alamo is a neat place too. We do like Sea World and go every couple of years, because the kids love to see the animals there. HEB usually has discount tickets available. The weather this year has been warmer than usual, so it is a good year to visit!
2_girls_mommy
We went a few years ago, and can't wait to go back. We had some really good memories there. My ODD still talks about it, and YDD hates that she was too young to remember the trip. But we didn't pay full price. We had some coupons for buy 1 get 1 and the girls were still free since they were under 3. So I can't comment on the price. The other things mentioned to do in San Antonio are all good too. snickelfritz
Hotel had half price coupons, so we decided to go. After an hour spent getting through the line to pay for parking and only halfway through the ticket line, we left. The bag check lines were still ahead and were horribly backed up. We've done crowded places like Disney and water parks, but this was the worst crowd management I've seen. I think (hope) the crowd was unexpected. They needed way more ticket lines open. We had already paid for parking, but were glad to cut our losses. We're on our way to the zoo.
