CAT testing for high school?

The CAT is the only "for sure" testing option I have this year. Someone might offer the Stanford but that is not set in stone yet. I will have to commit to the CAT before we know if the Stanford will be offered. I know nothing about the CAT. Could someone tell me about it. I have a 9th grader (and a 6th grader).

For 9th grade I use the ACT test. It is doable for 9th grade and gives them some practice on college entrance exams.

The questions are all multiple choice and straight forward. You can test different sections on different days - might be helpful for the younger ones, but easy enough to do in one day for others.

 

I think that using standardized testing like the ACT or the SAT for high school age is a great idea. :)

I have a dd that's possibly not college bound. She has taken the CAT the last two years as a freshman and a sophomore. It's a straightforward test. If you are testing to send in a score for the state it's a great option. I order from seton as well.
