mia78
I have several parts of speech cards with words and their corresponding part of speech printed on the card. The original intent behind the cards was for the kids to use them as sentence building cards. This game ended up being a bit too messy especially trying to keep the two year old out. I really want to use these cards, but need a better managed way for them to be used. Any ideas?
PeterPan
Put them in a hat, bowl, or jar. Draw out one, make a sentence with it, and tell what part of speech the word is using in the sentence.

Is there any way you can make that up with the cards? I don't know your ages of your dc, but maybe you could scatter them about (let the 2 yo throw them up in the air), and call out a certain part of speech so they could jump to it or find it quickly. You would just have to make certain that the baby understood only for that game so he/she wouldn't be going around the house throwing all your school stuff up in the air!
