A fashion question about ballet flats

If you wear all the cute flats in winter what do you wear on your feet if it's too cold to have bare feet with them? I know silly question but nothing I have tried looks cute.

My shoes are black, and I wear a sheer black trouser sock with a pattern of some kind. My daughter has silver shoes, and she goes barefoot even in winter.

I have leopard print ones and black ones. I wear black trouser socks with both, but you must understand that living in Michigan I wear boots whenever outside this time of year and switch to shoes upon arrival at my destination.

Either trouser socks or nylons. Black with black flats, nude or brown with brown flats and the same with any other color flats. I don't wear silver, not sure what I would put with those!

 

I live in AL and have been known to go barefoot with mine though.

That's what I do, too. I cannot bear to wear a closed shoe without some sort of sock/stocking/whatever. Blech. Anyway, having that patterned trouser sock makes you look *finished.*
