I have a placemat that has one side with the states written and the other was blank. We reviewed with that or http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/USA_Geography/USA_G0_double2.html It was painless and fun and quick! Once it was done I set him loose on the game and he was very proud that he could find all the states.
