missesd
:( For the past couple of nights I have had major nasal drainage, sore throat during the day, blowing my nose, tired, etc... Today no appetite. I just went to go blow my nose again... and it's all blood. Is this a sure sign of a sinus infection?? I do seem to be prone to them because I have horrible allergies, but I've never had this happen...
FeFe
Not sure about the blood but I have had symptoms like that and it turned out to be strep throat. I was very shocked because the sore throat was barely there and I thought it was due to all the drainage. Either way, sounds like a doctor visit is in order. Hope you feel better soon. kewb
I don't know what it is but I recommend you start using a neti pot to clean out your nose. The saline solution will help kill off the germs. The blood may be because the membranes are swollen and the frequent blowing is irritating to them. Jean in Newcastle
Nosebleeds can go along with sinus infections because of swelling and irritation but don't have to.

Wow, I hope not!! My daughter comes Saturday, that would suck :( My Dr's out today, so I am going to have to wait till tomorrow... The blood may be because the membranes are swollen and the frequent blowing is irritating to them. I have the bottle kit, but it says "Do not use if nasal passage is completely blocked". Which I am, on the right side :( Plus water in the ears (showers, swimming, etc) put me into vertigo spells, so I am reluctant to even try.
