Tap
My neice would like camping supplies for Christmas. She has a tent and sleeping bag so far and that is about it. We live in the PNW so camping is usually in the summer and in 70-85* weather. My budget is $30-35. Any suggestions?

Guest CarolineUK
A good headtorch? Self-inflating roll mat/pillow? Nest of camping cook pots? I'll keep thinking.

SailorMom
A high quality, multiuse pocket knife A good frying pan A metal mug A plastic plate A "Spork" (they have them in the camping section of WalMart) A campfire fork for hotdogs and marshmallows You could possibly get all of this in your budget - and this is about all that is needed other than matches and a flashlight :)
Jules
A Lantern I was looking at the camping section in our local Walmart, and we have seasonal camping here, too...in the summer. But, there was neat camping plates, cups, coffee pot. The blue/enamel type stuff that looks authentic. I think that would make a nice gift. AngieW in Texas
A propane camping stove is nice and not too expensive: http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-2000004124-PefectFlow-1-Burner-Stove/dp/B0009PUR5E/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1292428478&sr=8-10 We have this two-burner stove, but I'm always cooking for three when I go camping (only my 12yo and 15yo like to camp): http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-2000005189-Two-Burner-Propane-Stove/dp/B00005OU9D/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1292428478&sr=8-2 Headlights are nice to have. You want really bright lights, not dinky lights. http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-LED-Headlamp-Batteries-Included/dp/B002CYRZK0/ref=sr_1_4?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1292428574&sr=1-4 I'm in Texas, so fans are needed a lot more often than heaters. Here's what we have: http://www.amazon.com/O2Cool-1041-Mini-Camping-Battery/dp/B003MNF5XE/ref=sr_1_5?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1292428637&sr=1-
Melanie in WI
Self-inflating roll mat/pillow I picked these up earlier this year for about $30.00 at K Mart, SwissGear by Wenger. I'm glad you started this post, I forgot I had them hidden in the back of the closet!
