Jamee
Has anyone done any formal instruction based off the Good Eats shows? We record them and DS watches a couple almost daily while eating his lunch, and I'm amazed at the amount of info he gets out of them and how much info they contain! Any ideas for incorporating the shows into the curriculum?
Heather in Neverland
We never tried it with that show but we use "Bizarre Foods" during social studies all the time.
MeaganS
No, but I've totally thought about it. I still have young ones so I can't yet, but Good Eats is so great for both cooking and chemistry. I think you should. If you do, post how you do it!
Momling
I haven't used Good Eats, but we've watched "Supersizers go/eat..." on youtube for information on food in historical periods. It's awesome and my 8 yr old and I love it, but be prepared for a fair number of references to adult topics.
Jamee
Hmmm, someone in the family is getting one of the cookbooks for Christmas:D Maybe I'll see how that will work with incorporating something. Anyone else have ideas?
