Melora in NC
Ironically, I posted here a couple days ago, asking if I could mess up the list on the cd. As it turns out, I can't do Anything with the list. I downloaded the Excel Reader that the cd links you to, and I tried to move things around on the list, but I couldn't. Of course this makes sense, since the information with the Excel Reader download says specifically that you can only use it to Read a document. What am I doing wrong? Karen in CO
I haven't tried the Excel reader (I have Excel), but do you have a gmail account? If you do, you can download the spreadsheet from the Loom then upload it to google docs. You would be able to modify it in google docs. Karenciavo
I think all you can do is read, copy & print. If you want you can copy things into a new document; not very efficient I know.
MicheleinMN
You might want to try http://www.openoffice.org It will let you save and work with Excel files. HTH, Michele

It works beautifully -- now I can mess around with that list to my heart's content! Thanks so much for the link!
Melora in NC
Thank you all so much for all the good ideas! The Open Office shareware worked, but it is good to have a variety of options. I am really grateful for your kind assistance!
MicheleinMN
I'm glad it worked! I'm sure it someone else here who first shared the link. Nifty little program. I like its writer program better than MS Word too. Michele
