persephone43
http://www.classicalwriting.com/Primer.htm Has anyone used this? I'm looking at this to supplement WWE with a 10 yob. Also, do they progress in difficulty? Do you have to do them in order? As I recall, there was nature study to go along with the seasons, so if we started with Winter and ended with Autumn, would that be alright? chiguirre
I have them and they're well done, but I'm not sure that I'd recommend them. There's a lot of copywork, and it's just too much for my kids. My 10yo boy has fine motor and executive function issues that just make this torture. He's much better off with less copywork, so we ditched the CW primers and went back to just using Queen's Language Lessons for the Very Young 1. My current plan is to do LLFTVY 1 and 2 with him this year instead of LLFTVY 1 and some CWP. I use LLFTVY out of order a bit so that he's doing one copywork lesson and one other lesson each day. Dd is able to do CWP, but she resists doing so much copywork. I'm debating insisting on it versus letting her do LLFTVY1 and 2 with ds. So, the not-so-helpful answer is it depends. Sorry! Melissa B
I have all three and I think you can use them in any order. I decided to start my dd 7 in winter as well which she will begin in January, but she will only do winter and spring. I am going to use Autumn with my ds next year but stretch it out over the entire year. :)
kristavws
I tried "Autumn" with my youngest, but found that I preferred WWE, which is what I had used with my oldest. Krista
persephone43
So would it be overkill to use this as a supplement for WWE?
