ShelzNH
Once again I am totally overwhelmed by the options when it comes to purchasing something for the Wii. So once again I turn to you ladies. I have heard that Wii Fit is great for spicing up winter exercise as I can only do so much elliptical before I die of boredom. What exactly is Wii Fit? Is it a game? When I search Amazon for it it shows me balance boards and yoga mats and NUMEROUS game discs from Biggest Loser to Sports Resort. What do I need to purchase exactly? I obviously don't want to spend a fortune. Which programs do you think are the best? Thanks in advance as always for your advice! P.S. Just wanted to point out that I already have the Wii itself along with two regular remotes Edited November 8, 2010 by ShelzNH P.S. ChristusG
I have both Wii Fit and Wii Active. I much prefer Wii Active. With Wii Fit I never even broke a sweat.....the activities are so short that I was always switching between them and never actually had the time to get my heart rate up while doing the activitiy because it would end so quickly. I love Wii Active though. You can customize your work out.
Parrothead
We have Wii Fit Plus and love it. It is the game disk with the balance board. The Resort island is the venue for the games.
ShelzNH
I can't even find Wii Active. Where does one buy that? Also is there a difference between Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus? I certainly don't want to buy anything that doesn't make me break a sweat...
Crimson Wife
You can do EA Active without the balance board if you choose. OTOH, Wii Fit Plus has a lot of fun games for your kids as well as the straight cardio, strength, and yoga exercises.
ShelzNH
So, pardon my ignorance, but would I just buy this and then I would have everything I need??
Dayle in Guatemala
We love our Wii Fit plus with the balance board and we play it all the time! We love it. You do need the balance board. We don't have a yoga mat, but, we don't really do much of that anyway and the little bit that we do doesn't require a mat. One more thing, we do use the nunchucks as well.
