Melissa in Australia
We have bees, but we live way out in the middle on nowhere. the only problem may be if you have a pool, in summer bees need water, and I have heard of people being bothered by their neighbour's bees coming to the pool for water, and occasionally the bees drown in the pool , Bees need the water to cool the hive. cara
No I wouldn't be ok with it, especially since you said it was close to your fence. I'm deathly allergic to bees and can't say I'm a fan of them. DS has a serious fear of them and won't go into the yard if one even looks like it's flying around. I would say no, because it would prevent us from enjoying our yard.
mcconnellboys
I think it would be great. The bees are not going to attack you just because you're outside. I have honey bees from somewhere all over the lemon thyme in my yard every summer. Even when I'm working in the beds, I've never been stung. RanchGirl
I'm glad you told the neighbor you were fine with it. It was very thoughtful of them to ask you since it's their property. Hopefully they will gift you with some honey!
