mo2
What would you recommend after reading The Out-of-Sync Child? I am looking for ways to start working with what I suspect to be an SPD child while we are waiting for evaluations, diagnosis, etc. Thanks. wapiti
Dr. Lucy Jane Miller's "Sensational Kids" The Eides' "The Mislabeled Child" and, if applicable, Silverman's "Upside Down Brilliance" ETA: oh, I just noticed that what you really want is ways to start working. I'd first check Miller's book and the spd foundation website http://www.spdfoundation.net/ Edited October 18, 2010 by wapiti
DaffodilDreams
Dr. Lucy Jane Miller's "Sensational Kids" The Eides' "The Mislabeled Child" and, if applicable, Silverman's "Upside Down Brilliance" I second the recommendation of Sensational Kids. Haven't read these other two but appreciate the titles for my own reading. Thanks!

mo2
Just wanted to say thanks for this. I will get Sensational Kids, as my library doesn't have it.
Twinmom
Check out "The Out of Sync Child Has Fun." It is basically a book full of games and activities that can be used to supplement OT at home. Lots of great stuff in there that could give you a good start.
