Spelling - need something like AAS but in workbook format

How to Teach Spelling with the How to Spell Workbooks by Laura Toby Rudginsky, Elizabeth C. Haskell .

I think there are samples on Christianbook. I have them, but prefer modifying AAS to fit my DC and making up my own worksheets. The workbook pages in How to Spell just didn't meet my expectations. They are good; just not quite what I was looking for. I may end up using them later. We'll see.

I'm curious to see if anyone else has suggestions.

I see that she's 11--depending on how far along her knowledge is, Megawords might work for her. This is for 4th grade and up, and teaches all of the same syllable rules that AAS does.

You could also take a look at Phonics Zoo, I believe that is independent.

Hope you find something that works for you & your dd! Merry :-)

You could try either of these; print the pages appropriate to your AAS lesson of the day. Hope this helps.

1. Spelling for Writing workbooks - I like these better than ZB Spelling Connections. They also have science and social studies-related writing pages which I plan to skip.

This is very nicely organized! Thanks for this!

We used Spelling Connections for a while. It is a decent workbook option.

Merry, or anyone else who might be able to answer this ... is the Teacher's Manual necessary?

Thank you. :)
