cin
anybody familiar with this? I'm getting my LASIK correction in a couple of weeks and the Dr. mentioned this several times. I've been using reading glasses since my first surgery, and am ok with them, but I am toying with the idea...For some reason though, it just sounds weird. Thoughts? Whereneverever
My mother in law did this a few years ago and has been really happy with the results.
jenn-
I've heard that as you age the need for reading glasses will still be there even after LASIK. I know of several people that have had it and now in their mid to late 50's are needing reading glasses. I guess if you keep getting it fine tuned every so many years, it may not happen, but that's a lot of eye surgeries.

I currently use reading glasses after my initial lasik. But I'm wondering if this new procedure, where they fix one for reading and one eye for distance makes that much of a difference. It just seems weird to me, but I guess most people's eyes are not the exact same prescription anyway.
KIN
I had a cousin who had one eye fixed for reading and one for distance. She wore a contact in the one eye. It gave her headaches to have the eyes different and had to have them corrected to be the same.
