Night Elf
Curious about selling credits. What would be the point to pay postage on a book to earn a credit that will be sold for the amount of postage? Or are people selling credits for a profit? I'd rather not take the time to mail out books if I would break even financially and no longer have the book either. That actually seems like it turns out as a loss? hsmom3tn
I always just assumed people selling their credits were doing so because they had accumulated a lot of them and didn't really want to order any books, or were needing money, or both. It's not really something you can make a profit from. PBS sells them for $3.45 each, so you have to sell them for less than that to get a buyer. Most members sell them for $2.25-$2.50 each. I like to buy them that way because it usually costs less than mailing out a book. :)
gingersmom
Its not a get rich quick scheme for me. I had 30 credits and two shelves full of books for each child for the upcoming year (99% from paperbackswap :001_smile:). So I sold the 30 credits. Within a week I have already traded 4 books and gotten credit for 5 more. So I am back up to 9 credits.
Nestof3
I tried to sell some once because I just had so many and no books I was interested in. No, I don't think it's some sort of scheme. I think people just end up with so many credits and nothing to "buy."
